    Fee Components Explained

    Tuition Fee: Covers the cost of instruction, laboratory access, and academic resources. Includes fees for course materials, software licenses, and online learning platforms.

    Hostel Rent: Covers accommodation in university-hosted dormitories. Rooms are categorized into single, double, and triple occupancy options with varying rent charges.

    Mess Advance: An advance payment towards food expenses for the semester. This amount is adjusted at the end of the semester based on actual consumption.

    Student Benevolent Fund: A fund managed by the university to support students facing financial difficulties or emergencies.

    Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the campus medical center, including consultations and emergency treatments.

    Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities and sports facilities on campus, including gym access and equipment maintenance.

    Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

    The hostel accommodation at Akal University Bathinda offers modern amenities to ensure student comfort. There are different room types available:

    • Single Occupancy Room: ₹15,000 per semester
    • Double Occupancy Room: ₹25,000 per semester
    • Triple Occupancy Room: ₹30,000 per semester

    The mess charges are inclusive of three meals daily and vary depending on the room type. Students can opt for different meal plans based on their preferences.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions & Scholarships

    The university offers various financial assistance programs to deserving students:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver of tuition fees and hostel charges for eligible students.
    • EWS Category: 50% concession on tuition fees and full waiver on hostel charges.
    • MCM (Minority Community Member): 25% reduction in tuition fees.

    Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs and other supporting documents submitted during the admission process. Applications for these benefits must be filed before the start of each academic year.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

    Students can make payments through:

    • Credit/debit cards
    • Net banking
    • Bank drafts

    Payments are due by the specified deadline every semester. Late fees of ₹1,000 per day are applicable for delayed payments.

    In case of withdrawal from the program, refunds are processed according to the university's refund policy, which includes deductions for administrative costs and any outstanding dues. Refunds are typically credited within 30 days after submission of the necessary paperwork.
