    Admission Process

The admission process for the Bachelor of Technology program at Allahabad College of Engineering and Management is conducted through JEE Advanced or JEE Main, depending on the candidate's eligibility and preference.

Candidates must first register online through the official website of the conducting body. The registration fee varies each year but typically ranges between ₹1000–₹2000 for general category candidates.

After successful registration, candidates appear for the JEE Main examination, followed by JEE Advanced if eligible. The results are declared within a few weeks, and candidates are ranked based on their performance.

Based on the ranks obtained, candidates participate in the counseling process where they fill choices of colleges and branches according to their preferences and rank. Seats are allocated through a centralized system based on merit and availability.

The final step involves confirming the seat by paying the required fees within the specified deadline. Candidates who fail to confirm their seat lose their eligibility for that particular academic year.

    Exam Preparation Strategy

Aspirants should begin preparing early, ideally 8–10 months before the exam date. A structured study plan covering all subjects is essential for success.

Candidates are advised to focus on NCERT textbooks as they form the foundation of the syllabus. Additionally, solving previous years' question papers and mock tests helps in understanding the pattern and improving time management skills.

Time allocation is crucial—dedicate more hours to subjects that require conceptual clarity, such as Mathematics and Physics. Regular revision sessions ensure long-term retention of concepts.

Joining coaching centers or online platforms can provide access to quality resources, expert guidance, and peer interaction. However, self-study remains the cornerstone of preparation.

    Counseling Process

The counseling process involves filling choices of colleges and branches based on rank obtained in JEE Main/JEE Advanced. Candidates must select a minimum of 5 choices and submit them online within the specified time frame.

Seat allocation is done through a centralized system using a merit list, where candidates are ranked based on their scores. The process ensures fair distribution of seats across all categories.

After allocation, candidates must confirm their seat by paying the required fees and submitting necessary documents. Failure to do so results in forfeiture of the allocated seat.

Candidates can also participate in subsequent rounds if they wish to improve their choice or if seats are available after the first round. This allows for better utilization of opportunities based on changing preferences and availability.
