Fee Structure Explanation

The fee structure for the Computer Science program at Bishamber Sahai Diploma Engineering College is designed to provide comprehensive education and support services while remaining accessible to students from diverse economic backgrounds.

Tuition Fee: This covers instruction, laboratory access, library resources, and administrative costs associated with delivering quality education. The fee remains consistent across all semesters to ensure predictable financial planning for students and families.

Hostel Rent: Students residing on campus are charged a fixed hostel rent that includes utilities, maintenance, security, and common area services. The amount is standardized to accommodate different room types while ensuring affordability.

Mess Advance: This component covers meal expenses for the semester and is collected at the beginning of each academic term. It ensures that students have uninterrupted access to nutritious meals during their studies.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal annual contribution helps support student welfare initiatives, including scholarships, health services, and emergency assistance programs.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel system includes single, double, triple, and quad-sharing rooms, each equipped with essential amenities such as bedding, furniture, internet connectivity, and 24/7 security.

The mess billing system is transparent and efficient, with monthly bills issued based on actual consumption. Students can opt for different meal plans including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, or hybrid options, depending on their dietary requirements.

Rebate policies are in place for students who leave campus during specific periods, such as holidays or special events, ensuring fair compensation for unused accommodation and meal services.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The college offers various financial aid options to support deserving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 50% waiver on tuition fees, with additional support for hostel rent and mess charges.
• EWS Category: Students in this category receive a 25% waiver on tuition fees and partial assistance with other expenses.
• MCM (Minority Community Members): A 10% concession is available for eligible candidates from minority communities, covering tuition and some ancillary costs.

The application process involves submission of necessary documents including income certificates, caste certificates (for SC/ST), disability certificates (for PwD), and family financial details. Applications are reviewed by a dedicated committee to ensure equitable distribution of benefits.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments for tuition fees, hostel rent, mess charges, and other components must be made through online banking, NEFT/RTGS, or credit/debit cards. Late payments incur a penalty of 500 INR per day until the outstanding amount is settled.

The refund policy applies to students who withdraw from the institution before the commencement of the academic year or during the first month of the semester. Refunds are processed within 15 working days after submission of the withdrawal form and required documentation.

Students who fail to pay fees by the deadline may face suspension of their academic status, with the possibility of re-admission upon payment of dues and fulfillment of necessary conditions.
