Detailed Breakdown of Each Fee Component

Tuition Fee: The tuition fee covers instruction, laboratory access, course materials, and administrative costs. It is structured to ensure that students receive high-quality education without compromising on academic standards.

Hostel Rent: Accommodation is provided in modern dormitories with amenities such as internet connectivity, laundry services, and 24/7 security. The rent varies based on room type and includes utilities.

Mess Advance: A monthly mess advance ensures that students have consistent access to nutritious meals throughout the academic year. This amount is adjusted periodically based on inflation rates.

Student Benevolent Fund: This fund supports students facing financial difficulties or emergencies. Contributions are voluntary but encouraged to build a supportive community environment.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services, including consultations with doctors and access to medical facilities within campus. Students are advised to maintain health insurance for comprehensive coverage.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports physical fitness programs, sports activities, and recreational facilities available on campus. These fees contribute to maintaining a healthy lifestyle among students.

Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting end-of-semester exams, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities at Brd College are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. Rooms are categorized into single, double, triple, and quad occupancy options, each offering varying levels of comfort and amenities.

Single rooms come with individual study desks, wardrobes, and internet connectivity. Double rooms share common areas but provide similar comforts. Triple and quad rooms accommodate multiple students while maintaining a clean and organized living space.

The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle, where students pay in advance for meals. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a diverse range of vegetarian options. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated upon request.

Rebate policies are available for students who do not utilize the mess facilities during certain periods. These rebates are calculated based on actual usage and can be applied to subsequent months or refunded at the end of the academic year.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Brd College offers various financial assistance schemes to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 50% concession on tuition fees.
    • EWS Category: A 25% concession is available for students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section category.
    • MCM (Minority Community Students): 10% fee waiver is granted to students from minority communities.

The application process for fee waivers involves submitting relevant documents such as caste certificates, income proofs, and family details. The process typically begins in the first week of each academic year, with deadlines announced well in advance.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid through online banking or NEFT/RTGS transfers to the designated accounts. Payment deadlines are clearly communicated at the beginning of each semester, usually within one week after the start of classes.

Late payments incur a nominal penalty of INR 500 per day until full payment is received. Students who fail to pay within two weeks may face suspension from classes.

Refunds are processed in accordance with university regulations. Withdrawals must be approved by the concerned authorities, and refunds are typically credited back to the student's account within 30 days of submission of required documents. Refund amounts are subject to deductions for administrative charges and any outstanding dues.
