Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students facing financial hardships or emergencies during their academic journey.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services and consultations available on campus through the medical center.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities, sports facilities, and cultural events organized by the student body.

Examination Fees: Covers costs related to conducting exams, grading, result processing, and other administrative tasks associated with academic evaluation.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel accommodations at Government Polytechnic Bans are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. There are different room types available based on the number of occupants:

    • Single Occupancy Room: Rs 12,000 per semester (includes all utilities and internet)
    • Double Occupancy Room: Rs 10,000 per semester (shared facilities)
    • Triple Occupancy Room: Rs 8,000 per semester (shared facilities)

The mess billing system is straightforward and includes a monthly advance payment that covers three meals per day. Students can choose between standard and premium menu options, with prices adjusted accordingly.

Rebate policies are applicable for students who do not consume meals regularly or take breaks during the academic year. Rebates are calculated based on actual consumption and submitted through the hostel management system.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Government Polytechnic Bans offers several financial aid options to eligible students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to these categories receive a 100% fee waiver on tuition and hostel charges, subject to verification of documents.
    • EWS Category: Eligible students can avail a 50% concession on tuition fees and full exemption from hostel charges.
    • MCM (Minority Community Member): Students from minority communities may receive partial concessions based on their income slab and documentation.

Eligibility criteria for these schemes include annual family income below specified thresholds, caste certificates, and proof of domicile. Applications must be submitted along with supporting documents during the admission process or within a specified timeframe after joining the institution.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Fees can be paid online through net banking, credit/debit cards, or NEFT/RTGS transactions. Offline payment options include cash deposits at designated branches and bank drafts.

Payment deadlines are strictly enforced, with a late fee of Rs 500 per day applied to overdue payments beyond the due date. Students must ensure timely payment to avoid disruptions in their academic activities.

In case of withdrawal from the program, the refund policy applies as follows:

    • Withdrawal before completion of one semester: 75% refund of paid fees
    • Withdrawal after completion of one semester but before two semesters: 50% refund of paid fees
    • Withdrawal after completion of two semesters: 25% refund of paid fees

All refund requests must be accompanied by proper documentation, including a letter of withdrawal and bank account details for processing the refund amount.
