    Fee Component Breakdown

Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory access, and academic resources. This fee is fixed annually and reflects the quality of faculty and infrastructure provided.

Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in shared or private rooms with basic amenities such as beds, wardrobes, study tables, and common areas. The rent varies based on room type and availability.

Mess Advance: A prepayment for meals during the semester, which is adjusted at the end of the term based on actual consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students facing financial difficulties or emergencies within the college community.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the institute's medical center, including consultations, minor treatments, and health check-ups.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports extracurricular activities including sports, cultural events, and student organizations. These fees fund equipment, training sessions, and event management.

Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting internal and external examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities at Government Polytechnic Champawat offer both single and double occupancy rooms with modern amenities. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, internet connectivity, study desks, and lockers for personal items.

Mess charges follow a structured billing system where students pay in advance for meals. The mess menu includes vegetarian options tailored to student preferences, with weekly rotation of dishes and special occasions celebrated with themed meals.

Rebate policies are available for students who do not consume meals during certain periods or those residing outside the campus for short durations. These rebates are processed at the end of each semester based on attendance records.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial assistance is available through various schemes targeting economically disadvantaged groups including SC/ST/PwD, EWS, and MCM categories. Eligibility criteria are defined by the government and updated annually based on income slabs.

For instance, students from SC/ST/PwD backgrounds must submit caste certificates or disability certificates along with their applications to avail concessions. Similarly, EWS applicants need to provide income certificates proving household income below specified limits.

The application process for fee waivers involves submitting forms online via the institute portal and attaching supporting documents. Once verified, approved students receive notifications and are granted respective benefits for the academic year.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid before the specified deadlines to avoid late penalties. Payment can be made through online banking, credit/debit cards, or NEFT/RTGS transfers. A detailed payment receipt is generated upon successful transaction.

Failure to pay within the deadline incurs a late fee of INR 500 per day until full payment is received. Refunds are processed according to official guidelines upon withdrawal from the institute, subject to deductions for administrative charges and outstanding dues.

Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing with valid reasons. Refunds are typically credited within 30 working days after approval, excluding weekends and holidays. The refund policy ensures transparency and compliance with financial regulations while safeguarding student interests.
