    Detailed Fee Components

Tuition Fee: Covers the cost of instruction, academic materials, and access to digital resources provided by the institution. This fee includes laboratory access, library services, and administrative support.

Hostel Rent: Provides accommodation for students who opt for on-campus housing. The rent covers room maintenance, utilities, security, and other hostel-related expenses.

Mess Advance: An advance payment towards monthly mess charges that are settled at the end of each month. This ensures that students have sufficient funds for their daily meals.

Student Benevolent Fund: A small contribution towards a fund used to support financially disadvantaged students or those facing emergencies during their studies.

Medical Fees: Covers basic medical services available on campus, including consultations with doctors and access to medicine stores.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities, sports events, and cultural programs organized by the student council.

Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting end-term examinations, evaluation processes, and result declaration.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facility at GOVT POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE DAMOH offers different room types to accommodate varying preferences and budgets:

    • Semi-Detached Rooms: Shared accommodation for 2-4 students with common washrooms and study areas.
    • Private Rooms: Individual rooms with attached bathrooms and additional amenities.
    • Hostel Amenities: All hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi, laundry services, security guards, and 24/7 maintenance staff.

The mess charges are calculated based on the number of days a student avails meals. Monthly mess bills are generated at the end of each month, and students can choose between different meal plans (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Rebate policies are available for students who do not avail meals for certain days or during vacations. The rebate is typically 10-20% depending on the number of days missed.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The college offers several financial assistance schemes to support deserving students:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 50% concession on tuition fees. Income slabs are defined by the government for each category.
    • EWS Category: Students from economically weaker sections get a 25% reduction in tuition fees based on annual income below Rs. 3 lakhs.
    • MCM (Minority Community Members): A 10% fee waiver is granted to students belonging to minority communities who meet the eligibility criteria.

Scholarships are also available for meritorious students based on academic performance and extracurricular achievements. Applications for these scholarships must be submitted through the college portal during the specified period each year.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid within the first week of the semester. Late payments attract a penalty of Rs. 500 per day until the dues are cleared. Students can make payments via online banking, NEFT/RTGS, or at designated counters in the college office.

In case of withdrawal from the program, students must submit a formal application to the principal along with necessary documents. The refund policy stipulates that 90% of the fees paid will be refunded after deducting administrative charges and any outstanding dues.

Students who wish to withdraw due to personal reasons or health issues may receive partial refunds based on their attendance and completion of academic requirements.
