    Fee Structure Breakdown

Tuition Fee: This is the primary component of the fee structure and covers instruction, laboratory access, library services, and other academic facilities provided by the institute.

Hostel Rent: Accommodation charges include maintenance, utilities, security, and room cleaning services. The hostel provides single and double occupancy rooms with basic amenities such as beds, study tables, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Mess Advance: Mess advance is collected at the beginning of each semester to cover meal expenses for the entire term. Students are billed monthly based on their consumption and can opt for different meal plans.

Student Benevolent Fund: This fund supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies. Contributions are voluntary but encouraged to foster a supportive community environment.

Medical Fees: Covers basic medical services, including consultations with doctors, emergency care, and access to a well-stocked pharmacy within the campus.

Gymkhana Fees: These fees support extracurricular activities, sports facilities, cultural events, and student organizations. They contribute to creating a vibrant campus life.

Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting internal and external examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities at Government Polytechnic Garur Bageshwar are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. Hostels offer both single and double occupancy rooms with shared bathrooms and common areas for socializing.

    Room types include:

    • Single Occupancy Room: Rs. 15,000 per semester
    • Double Occupancy Room: Rs. 15,000 per semester

Mess charges are collected as an advance at the start of each semester and adjusted monthly based on actual consumption. The mess serves three meals a day with vegetarian options available for all students.

Rebate policies apply to students who do not consume meals during certain days or periods, such as during examinations or holidays. Students must submit applications in advance to avail these rebates.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions & Scholarships

The institute offers various financial assistance schemes for economically disadvantaged students:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: 50% concession on tuition fee and hostel charges
    • EWS Category: 25% concession on tuition fee and hostel charges
    • MCM (Most Backward Class): 30% concession on tuition fee and hostel charges

Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs, caste certificates, and proof of residence. Applications must be submitted along with required documents within the specified deadline.

Additional scholarships are available for meritorious students who perform exceptionally well in academics or extracurricular activities. These include merit-based awards, sports scholarships, and research grants.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Fees must be paid before the commencement of classes to avoid late fees or administrative penalties. Payment can be made through online portals, net banking, credit/debit cards, or cash at the institute's finance office.

Late payments attract a nominal interest charge of Rs. 500 per month. Students are advised to pay fees promptly to avoid disruptions in their academic journey.

The refund policy is applicable for students withdrawing from the program before completing the course. Refunds are processed after deducting administrative charges, examination fees, and other applicable deductions. Withdrawal requests must be submitted with proper documentation and approval from relevant authorities.
