    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel accommodation at Government Polytechnic Lohaghat is designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students pursuing their education. There are several room types available including single occupancy rooms, double occupancy rooms, and triple occupancy rooms.

Single occupancy rooms come with a monthly rent of INR 30,000 and include basic amenities such as bed, wardrobe, study table, chair, and internet connectivity. Double occupancy rooms cost INR 25,000 per month, offering shared facilities while maintaining privacy and comfort.

The mess operates on a prepaid system where students must deposit an advance amount covering meals for the entire month. The menu is planned by professional chefs and includes a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, ensuring balanced nutrition and dietary preferences are met.

Rebate policies are applicable in cases of medical leave or travel during examination periods. Students can apply for rebates through the hostel office, subject to approval based on valid documentation.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university offers several fee waiver schemes and scholarships for deserving students based on academic performance, financial need, and social background. These include:

    • Merit-Based Scholarships: Available for top-performing students in each semester with a minimum CGPA of 9.0 or above.
    • Income-Based Concessions: Students belonging to economically disadvantaged backgrounds may receive partial fee waivers based on income slabs ranging from INR 1,50,000 to INR 3,00,000 annually.
    • Reservation Category Benefits: SC/ST/PwD students are entitled to full fee waivers under the government reservation policy.
    • EWS Concession: Students from Economically Weaker Sections receive a 50% concession on tuition fees.
    • MCM (Maiden Child of Migrant): Full fee waiver for students whose parents are migrants and have no property in the city.

To apply for any of these financial aid options, students must submit an application form along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, or disability certificates. Applications are reviewed by a committee comprising faculty members and administrative staff to ensure fairness and transparency.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments for fees can be made through multiple channels including online banking, NEFT/RTGS, debit/credit cards, and mobile wallets. Students must complete the payment within the specified deadline to avoid late fees or disqualification from academic activities.

Late fee charges are applicable if payments are not completed before the due date. The late fee is calculated at 5% of the total amount per month, with a maximum cap of INR 5000 per semester.

In case of withdrawal from the program, students must submit a formal application to the administration office along with valid reasons and supporting documents. Refunds are processed based on the university's refund policy, which allows for partial refunds depending on the reason for withdrawal and duration of study.

Refunds are typically processed within 45 days of receiving the complete documentation. Students who leave before completing one academic year may not be eligible for full refunds, while those leaving after completing at least one year are entitled to a pro-rated refund according to the university's guidelines.
