    Detailed Fee Component Explanation

Tuition Fee: Covers the cost of instruction, including faculty salaries, infrastructure maintenance, and administrative overheads. The fee is fixed for the entire duration of the program.

Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in university-hosted hostels. Students can choose between single, double, or triple occupancy rooms depending on availability and preference.

Mess Advance: A fixed amount paid at the beginning of each semester covering meal expenses for the duration. The mess operates on a monthly billing cycle, with adjustments made based on actual consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students facing financial hardships or emergencies. Funds are used for scholarships, medical assistance, and other welfare initiatives.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the campus health center, including consultations, diagnostic tests, and minor treatments.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities and sports facilities on campus. These funds ensure that students have access to gyms, swimming pools, and organized events.

Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel accommodation is designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students pursuing their studies. Various room types are available based on occupancy:

    • Single Occupancy Room: ₹12000 per semester, featuring individual study space and private bathroom facilities.
    • Double Occupancy Room: ₹12000 per semester, shared with one roommate, offering similar amenities as single rooms.
    • Triple Occupancy Room: ₹12000 per semester, accommodating three students in a shared living space with common facilities.

Mess charges are calculated based on a monthly billing system. Students receive an advance payment at the start of each semester covering meals for the entire term. The mess operates seven days a week with varied menus to cater to different dietary preferences and cultural requirements.

Rebate policies allow students to receive partial refunds if they do not consume meals for specified periods due to travel or illness. Applications for rebates must be submitted within 15 days of the incident.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Guru Nanak University Hyderabad recognizes the importance of financial accessibility and offers several scholarship options for deserving students:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 100% waiver on tuition fees and a 50% concession on hostel charges.
    • EWS Category: Students from economically weaker sections get a 50% waiver on tuition fees and a 25% concession on hostel charges.
    • MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): These students receive full waivers on tuition fees and partial concessions on hostel charges based on income slabs.

Applications for financial aid must be submitted through the official portal with supporting documents such as caste certificates, income proofs, and migration certificates. The selection process is based on merit criteria and need assessment conducted by a dedicated committee.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees are to be paid through online banking or NEFT/RTGS transactions. Students must ensure that payments are completed before the specified deadline to avoid late fees and penalties.

Late Fee Calculation: A penalty of ₹500 per day is levied on overdue payments beyond the due date. Payments made after 30 days attract additional charges.

Refund Policy: Refunds are processed only in cases of withdrawal or transfer from the university. Withdrawal applications must be submitted within 15 days of admission, with a deduction of ₹2000 processing fee.

The refund is credited back to the student's bank account within 45 working days after verification of all documents and clearance of dues.
