    Fee Components Explained

The fee structure for the Engineering program includes several components that contribute to the overall cost of education and campus life:

    • Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, curriculum development, and faculty salaries. It is divided into 12 equal installments over the academic year.
    • Hostel Rent: A monthly charge for accommodation in university-hosted dormitories. Includes utilities, cleaning services, and security.
    • Mess Advance: A fixed amount paid upfront to cover meal expenses for the semester. Adjustments are made at the end of each month based on consumption.
    • Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies through grants and loans.
    • Medical Fees: Covers basic medical consultations, vaccinations, and health check-ups provided by the university hospital.
    • Gymkhana Fees: Contributes to sports facilities, fitness equipment maintenance, and recreational activities.
    • Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting semester-end exams, including paper setting, invigilation, and result processing.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The university provides multiple hostel options catering to different budgets and preferences:

    • Single Occupancy Rooms: Rs. 25,000/month with attached bathroom and AC.
    • Double Occupancy Rooms: Rs. 18,000/month with shared bathroom facilities.
    • Triple Occupancy Rooms: Rs. 15,000/month with shared amenities.

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis, with meals costing approximately Rs. 400-600 per day depending on the meal plan chosen. Students receive a detailed statement at the end of each month, and adjustments are made based on actual consumption.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university offers various financial aid options to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible for 100% waiver of tuition fee and hostel charges. Additional concessions are available for medical and examination fees.
    • EWS Category: Receives 50% waiver on tuition fee and full waiver on hostel charges. Medical and examination fees are partially waived based on income criteria.
    • MCM (Minority Community Member): Benefited with a 25% reduction in tuition fee and partial waiver on hostel charges.

Applications for financial aid must be submitted along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, and medical reports. The selection committee evaluates applications based on merit and need.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments can be made online through the university portal using debit cards, credit cards, or net banking. Alternatively, students may opt for bank transfer or demand draft options.

Payment deadlines are strictly enforced to ensure smooth academic progress. Late payments incur a penalty of 10% of the due amount plus additional fees as per university guidelines.

In case of withdrawal from the program, refund policies are applied based on the number of days remaining in the semester:

    • Withdrawal within 30 days: Full refund minus processing charges
    • Withdrawal between 31-60 days: Refund of 75% minus processing charges
    • Withdrawal after 60 days: No refund

The refund process usually takes 30-45 working days to complete, subject to verification and approval by the finance department.
