Detailed Narrative Explanation of Fee Components

Tuition Fee: The tuition fee covers the cost of instruction, access to library resources, and administrative support. It is collected annually and is subject to periodic updates based on inflation and operational costs.

Hostel Rent: Hostel accommodation is provided in single or double occupancy rooms with shared bathrooms and common facilities. The rent includes utilities such as electricity, water, and internet connectivity.

Mess Advance: A monthly mess advance is collected to cover food expenses for the academic year. This amount is adjusted based on actual consumption at the end of the year.

Student Benevolent Fund: Contributions to this fund support students facing financial hardships or emergencies. The fund is managed transparently and disbursed based on verified needs.

Medical Fees: These fees cover basic medical services, including consultations, diagnostic tests, and medications provided by the university health center.

Gymkhana Fees: This fee supports extracurricular activities such as sports, cultural events, and clubs. It helps maintain infrastructure and organize campus-wide events.

Examination Fees: These fees are charged per examination attempt and cover the costs associated with conducting tests, evaluating papers, and issuing certificates.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facility offers multiple room types to accommodate students' varying needs. Single occupancy rooms are available for ₹10,000 per month, while double occupancy rooms cost ₹6,000 per month. Each room is equipped with basic amenities including beds, study tables, wardrobes, and internet connectivity.

The mess charges vary depending on the meal plan selected by students. A standard meal plan costs ₹15,000 per month, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Students can opt for premium plans that include additional snacks or dietary options.

Rebate policies are available for students who do not reside in hostels during certain periods, such as during internships or family visits. The rebate is calculated proportionally based on the duration of non-residence.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university provides various financial aid options to support deserving students. These include merit-based scholarships, need-based grants, and special concessions for SC/ST/PwD and EWS categories.

Eligibility criteria for scholarships are based on academic performance, family income, and other socio-economic factors. For instance, students from families with an annual income below ₹2 lakhs qualify for a 100% fee waiver. Those with incomes between ₹2-4 lakhs receive partial concessions.

The application process involves filling out an online form and submitting supporting documents such as income certificates, mark sheets, and category proofs. Applications are reviewed by a committee that evaluates each case based on merit and financial need.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments must be made through net banking, credit/debit cards, or demand drafts. All fees must be paid within the stipulated deadlines to avoid late charges. Late payments incur a fee of ₹500 per day beyond the due date.

In case of withdrawal from the program, refunds are processed according to the university's refund policy. The refund amount is determined based on the period of attendance and any applicable deductions for services rendered. Withdrawals made before the first semester start are eligible for full refunds minus administrative charges.
