Beyond the core curriculum, students also have access to departmental electives designed to deepen their expertise in specialized areas. Some of these advanced courses include:

    • Advanced Corporate Valuation: This course explores valuation techniques used by investment banks and private equity firms, focusing on discounted cash flow models, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
    • Risk Management and Derivatives: Students learn about financial instruments used to hedge risk, including forwards, futures, options, and swaps. The course includes practical applications using Excel and Python.
    • Consumer Behavior Analysis: This course examines how psychological, social, and cultural factors influence consumer decision-making processes, particularly in digital environments.
    • Data-Driven Decision Making: Through case studies and simulations, students develop skills in extracting insights from large datasets using statistical tools and machine learning algorithms.
    • Brand Management Strategy: A comprehensive exploration of branding theory, brand equity, and global brand expansion strategies, with real-world examples from leading multinational corporations.

The department strongly emphasizes project-based learning, which is integrated into both the core and elective courses. Students are required to complete a mini-project in each semester, culminating in a final-year thesis or capstone project. The selection process involves faculty mentors who guide students through research methodologies, data collection, analysis, and presentation.

    Mini-Projects

Mini-projects are assigned at the beginning of each semester and typically last 4-6 weeks. These projects allow students to apply theoretical concepts in practical settings. For example, in the first semester, students may work on analyzing a company's financial statements or evaluating customer satisfaction levels.

    Final-Year Thesis/Capstone Project

The capstone project is the culmination of the MBA program and serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their mastery of business concepts. Projects are chosen in consultation with faculty advisors and often involve collaboration with industry partners. Students present their findings at an annual symposium, where they receive feedback from academics and professionals.
