    Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities at K L Polytechnic are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. There are multiple room types available:

    • Single Room: For one student, equipped with a bed, study table, wardrobe, and internet access.
    • Double Room: Shared by two students, featuring similar amenities as single rooms but with shared bathroom facilities.
    • Triple Room: Accommodates three students, offering a balance between privacy and cost-effectiveness.

The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle. Students are charged based on their consumption, with a fixed meal allowance provided during the initial period. Rebate policies are available for students who do not consume meals regularly or those facing financial hardships.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university offers various fee waivers and concessions to eligible students based on income criteria and other factors:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: Students from SC/ST or PwD categories receive a 100% waiver on tuition fees and a 50% concession on hostel rent.
    • EWS Category: Eligible students receive a 50% waiver on tuition fees and a 30% concession on hostel rent.
    • MCM (Minority Community Member): Students from minority communities receive a 25% waiver on tuition fees and a 20% concession on hostel rent.

Applications for these concessions must be submitted along with supporting documents such as caste certificates, income proofs, and disability certificates. The university evaluates each application on a case-by-case basis to ensure fairness and transparency.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Fees can be paid online via net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI applications. Late payments attract a penalty fee of INR 500 per day until the dues are cleared. The refund policy applies to students who withdraw from the program before completing one semester, with deductions made for administrative costs and hostel charges.
