Fee Components Explained

Tuition Fee: This component covers the cost of instruction, library access, laboratory facilities, and academic resources. It is divided into two installments per semester to ease financial burden on students.

Hostel Rent: Accommodation charges are inclusive of basic amenities such as bedding, furniture, and utilities. The hostel provides a safe and conducive environment for learning and personal development.

Mess Advance: Students are required to pay a mess advance at the beginning of each semester to cover meal expenses. This amount is adjusted based on actual consumption during the semester.

Student Benevolent Fund: Contributions towards this fund support students facing financial hardships and contribute to campus welfare initiatives.

Medical Fees: These charges cover basic healthcare services available on campus, including consultations with medical professionals and emergency treatment.

Gymkhana Fees: This fee supports sports activities, fitness programs, and recreational facilities available to students.

Hostel & Mess Charges

K L Polytechnic offers various hostel options to accommodate students from different backgrounds. Room types include single, double, triple, and quad occupancy, each with distinct amenities and pricing structures.

The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle, with meals available at fixed times throughout the day. Students can choose between standard and premium meal plans based on their preferences and dietary requirements.

Rebate policies are applicable for students who opt out of certain services or have specific circumstances such as medical leave or travel restrictions. These rebates ensure fair compensation for unused services.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The institution offers multiple financial aid options to support deserving students. Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs, reservation categories, and academic performance.

SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to these categories receive 100% fee waivers under the reservation policy, provided they meet the specified income limits and other requirements.

EWS Category: Eligible students receive a 50% fee concession, subject to verification of their economic status through relevant documentation.

MCM (Minority Community Students): These students are eligible for 25% fee concessions based on their community affiliation and academic merit.

Scholarship programs are also available for top-performing students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement or leadership qualities. Applications for these scholarships require submission of detailed documentation and recommendation letters.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid through the official payment gateway linked to the institution's website. Students can make payments using debit cards, credit cards, net banking, or UPI transfers.

Payment deadlines are strictly enforced, with late fees applicable beyond the specified date. The standard late fee is 5% per month on outstanding balances, calculated from the due date until full payment is received.

In case of withdrawal from the program, refund procedures are followed according to university guidelines. Refunds are processed within 30 working days after submission of all required documents and verification of account status.
