    Detailed Fee Components

The tuition fee covers access to lectures, lab sessions, and learning resources provided by the university. It is updated annually based on inflation and infrastructure development costs.

Hostel rent includes accommodation in a single or shared room with basic amenities such as beds, wardrobes, study tables, and internet connectivity. The university provides air-conditioned rooms for an additional fee.

The mess advance ensures that students have access to nutritious meals throughout the semester. This amount is adjusted monthly based on consumption and can be refunded upon withdrawal from the hostel.

The student benevolent fund supports financial assistance for students facing emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. Contributions are voluntary but encouraged to foster a supportive community environment.

Medical fees cover basic healthcare services provided by the university's medical center, including consultations, vaccinations, and minor treatments.

Gymkhana fees support recreational activities and sports facilities available on campus. These funds help maintain gyms, swimming pools, and other fitness-related infrastructure.

Examination fees are charged for conducting end-of-semester tests, practical evaluations, and final assessments. They cover administrative costs associated with grading and result processing.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

Hostel rooms at KUDS come in various configurations, including single occupancy, double occupancy, and triple occupancy options. Each room is equipped with essential furniture and internet connectivity.

The mess billing system operates on a monthly cycle, where students pay an advance for meals based on their consumption patterns. The university provides detailed reports to ensure transparency and accountability.

Rebate policies allow students to receive refunds for unused portions of their mess advance if they leave campus temporarily or during holidays. These rebates are calculated based on the number of days absent from the hostel.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university offers several financial aid options to support deserving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Eligibility criteria include income slabs, caste categories, and academic performance.

For SC/ST/PwD students, fee waivers are available based on their category and family income. The maximum waiver can be up to 100% of the total fees for eligible students.

EWS students receive a concession of 50% of the tuition fee if their annual income falls below Rs. 8 lakhs. This benefit is subject to verification through official documents.

MCM (Minority Community Students) are entitled to a 25% reduction in fees under specific conditions, including family income and educational background.

Merit-based scholarships are awarded annually based on academic excellence and performance in competitive exams. These scholarships range from 25% to 100% of the tuition fee for top-performing students.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid within the specified deadlines to avoid late charges and penalties. Students are advised to monitor their payment status regularly via the online portal.

Late payments attract a fixed percentage of interest per month, which is clearly indicated on the fee receipt. Students who fail to pay within two weeks may face suspension from classes until payment is made.

Upon withdrawal from the university, students are eligible for refunds based on the refund policy outlined by the administration. Refunds are processed within 30 days of submission of required documents and approval from the finance department.
