    Application Procedure

The application process begins with online registration through the university's official portal. Candidates must fill out a detailed application form with personal information, academic records, and preferences for admission categories.

After completing the registration, applicants are required to upload scanned copies of all necessary documents including mark sheets, certificates, identity proof, domicile certificate, and migration certificate if applicable. The university provides a checklist of required documents to ensure completeness.

Once applications are submitted, candidates must pay the application fee through online payment gateway or bank transfer. The fee varies based on category - General candidates pay Rs. 1000 while reserved categories receive concessions.

After document verification and payment confirmation, applicants receive an admit card for the entrance examination. The exam is conducted in offline mode at designated test centers across the country.

    Entrance Examination

The Agriculture program admits students through a centralized admission process conducted by the university in collaboration with other institutions. The entrance exam consists of objective-type questions covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Aptitude.

Physics section tests fundamental concepts related to mechanics, thermodynamics, waves, optics, and modern physics relevant to agricultural applications. Chemistry includes topics such as organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, and analytical chemistry.

Biology section covers cellular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, plant physiology, animal physiology, and microbiology. The General Aptitude portion evaluates logical reasoning, numerical ability, and problem-solving skills.

Each candidate's performance is evaluated based on a standardized scoring system with negative marking for incorrect answers. The final merit list is prepared based on combined scores from all categories, considering reservation policies.

    Counseling Process

The counseling process involves multiple rounds of seat allocation based on merit ranks and preferences chosen by candidates during application. Candidates must participate in online counseling sessions where they can select their preferred program and branch.

During the first round, seats are allocated based on available vacancies and candidate preferences. If a candidate's preferred branch is not available, they may be offered a seat in an alternative branch or category.

Subsequent rounds of counseling allow candidates to modify their choices if seats become available due to withdrawals or rejections. The process continues until all seats are filled or the counseling cycle ends.

    Document Verification

After successful admission, candidates must appear for document verification at the university campus within a specified period. During this session, original documents are verified against uploaded copies to ensure authenticity.

Documents required include 12th mark sheet, passing certificate, identity proof, domicile certificate, migration certificate (if applicable), and PwD certificate if applicable. Any discrepancy in documents may lead to cancellation of admission.

    Seat Acceptance

Once documents are verified, candidates must confirm their seat acceptance by paying the required fees within the deadline specified by the university. The fee includes tuition charges, hostel accommodation (if opted), and other incidental expenses.

After payment confirmation, candidates receive an admission letter and enrollment number. They can then proceed with joining the program as per the scheduled commencement date.

    Preparation Strategy

Aspirants preparing for the Agriculture program should focus on strengthening their fundamentals in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Regular practice of numerical problems, concept-based questions, and previous years' sample papers is highly recommended.

For Physics, candidates should understand key topics such as mechanics, thermodynamics, waves, optics, and modern physics. Chemistry preparation should cover organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, and analytical chemistry concepts relevant to agriculture.

Biology preparation should include cellular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, plant physiology, animal physiology, and microbiology. General aptitude preparation involves logical reasoning, numerical ability, and problem-solving skills.

Time management is crucial during exam preparation. Candidates should allocate sufficient time for each subject and practice mock tests regularly to improve speed and accuracy. Joining coaching classes or online platforms can provide additional support for conceptual clarity.

    Choice Filling Strategy

During the counseling process, candidates must carefully consider their preferences based on past rank trends and program requirements. It is advisable to include a mix of top choices, mid-tier options, and safety choices to maximize the chances of securing admission.

Candidates should review the previous years' cutoff ranks and seat availability before making their choices. Understanding the reservation policy and category-wise allocation helps in strategic selection of preferences.

It is important to avoid selecting only one or two programs as it reduces the probability of getting admitted. Instead, candidates should spread their choices across multiple branches and colleges to increase opportunities for admission.
