    Fee Components Explained

    Tuition Fee: This covers all academic expenses including lectures, laboratory sessions, and access to digital resources. Tuition fees are reviewed annually based on inflation and infrastructure development costs.

    Hostel Rent: Hostels provide a safe, comfortable living environment with shared amenities such as common rooms, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and 24/7 security. Room types include single, double, and triple occupancy options.

    Mess Advance: A fixed advance amount is collected to cover monthly mess expenses. The system ensures timely billing and prevents overpayment or underpayment issues.

    Student Benevolent Fund: This fund supports students facing financial difficulties, providing emergency assistance for medical emergencies or family hardships.

    Medical Fees: Covers routine check-ups, vaccinations, and access to on-campus health services. Students receive coverage through a partnership with local healthcare providers.

    Gymkhana Fees: Includes access to sports facilities, fitness equipment, and participation in university events and competitions.

    Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting exams, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

    The hostel system offers various room configurations to suit individual preferences. Single occupancy rooms are available at an additional cost, while shared rooms (double or triple) are standard options. Each room is equipped with basic furniture, internet connectivity, and air conditioning.

    Mess billing follows a monthly cycle, where students pay in advance for the upcoming month's meals. The menu includes a variety of dishes catering to different dietary needs, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

    Rebate policies allow students to receive refunds if they are absent for more than three consecutive days due to valid reasons such as illness or family emergencies.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

    Several financial aid schemes are available for eligible students:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: Students from SC/ST categories receive 100% waiver on tuition fees. PwD students get full waiver on all fees including hostel rent and mess charges.
    • EWS Category: Eligible students receive a 50% discount on tuition fees and 30% on hostel and mess charges.
    • MCM (Minority Community Students): MCM students are eligible for 25% concession on tuition fees and 10% on other charges.

    Application procedures for financial aid involve submitting relevant documents such as caste certificates, income proofs, and Aadhaar cards. The university has a dedicated scholarship committee that evaluates applications based on merit and need.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

    All fees must be paid before the start of each semester. Payment deadlines are strictly enforced to avoid late penalties. Students can make payments online via net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI.

    Late payment incurs a penalty of ₹1000 per day until the balance is cleared. Refunds are processed within 15 working days upon withdrawal from the program, subject to verification of documents and compliance with university rules.
