    Admission Process

The admission process for the MBA program at Oriental University Indore is conducted through a rigorous selection mechanism that evaluates candidates based on academic excellence, aptitude, and potential for leadership.

Candidates must first complete an online application form available on our official website. The form requires detailed information about educational background, work experience (if any), extracurricular activities, and personal statements outlining career aspirations.

Following submission, candidates are required to appear for the entrance examination conducted by the university. This exam assesses verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and general awareness. The test is administered in a computer-based format and lasts for two hours.

Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam are invited for a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). GD sessions evaluate communication skills, group dynamics, and leadership qualities. PI interviews assess candidate motivation, knowledge of current affairs, and alignment with institutional values.

Final merit lists are prepared based on weighted scores from the entrance exam, GD, and PI. Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification and seat acceptance procedures.

    Exam Preparation Strategy

Preparing for the MBA entrance exam requires a structured approach that combines conceptual understanding with regular practice. Candidates should start by familiarizing themselves with the exam pattern and syllabus.

Quantitative Aptitude: Focus on topics such as percentages, ratios, profit-loss, time-speed-distance, and algebra. Practice daily to improve calculation speed and accuracy.

Verbal Ability: Improve vocabulary through regular reading and practice of comprehension passages. Work on grammar rules and sentence correction exercises.

Logical Reasoning: Solve puzzles, seating arrangements, data interpretation, and analytical reasoning questions regularly. Time management is crucial here.

General Awareness: Stay updated with current events, business news, and important economic indicators. Regularly read newspapers and magazines like The Economic Times, Business Standard, and Hindustan Times.

    Counseling Process

The counseling process begins after the declaration of results. Candidates are advised to carefully review their rank and choose colleges based on preferences and availability.

Choice filling strategy involves selecting colleges in descending order of preference while considering past cutoffs and seat availability. It is recommended to include a mix of safe, good, and stretch choices.

Once selected, candidates must complete document verification and pay the required fees within the specified timeframe. The seat acceptance process ensures that only qualified students secure admission.
