    Detailed Fee Component Explanation

The tuition fee covers the cost of instruction, access to academic resources, and infrastructure support. It is subject to annual revision based on inflation and institutional needs.

Hostel rent provides accommodation for students staying on campus, including utilities like electricity, water, internet connectivity, and security services. The hostel charges vary depending on room type (single, double, triple sharing).

Mess advance covers the cost of meals provided through the university cafeteria system. Students are required to pay a monthly mess advance which is adjusted at the end of the month based on actual consumption.

The Student Benevolent Fund supports students facing financial difficulties or emergencies. Contributions towards this fund are voluntary but encouraged.

Medical fees cover basic healthcare services available within the campus health center, including consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests.

Gymkhana fees contribute to maintaining campus recreational facilities such as gyms, sports grounds, and cultural centers.

Examination fees are charged per semester for conducting internal assessments and final examinations.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

The university offers multiple hostel options with varying amenities. Single occupancy rooms cost INR 35,000 per semester, while double and triple-sharing rooms are priced accordingly. All rooms come equipped with bed, study table, chair, wardrobe, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis where students pay a fixed advance amount that is adjusted based on their actual consumption during the month. Meals are served twice daily (breakfast and lunch) along with dinner options for selected halls.

Rebate policies allow students to receive partial refunds if they do not consume meals for certain days due to valid reasons such as illness or travel. Students must submit relevant documentation for rebates to be processed.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Peoples University offers various financial aid options including fee waivers, concessions, and scholarships for deserving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The eligibility criteria for these benefits are based on income slabs as follows:

    • SC/ST/PwD Students: Income below INR 2 Lakh/year
    • EWS Category: Income between INR 2 Lakh and 6 Lakh/year
    • MCM (Minority Community Members): Income up to INR 6 Lakh/year

Benefits include full or partial fee waivers, monthly stipends, and accommodation concessions. The application process involves submission of income certificates, category certificates, and other supporting documents through the official portal.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Fees must be paid before the deadline specified by the university to avoid late fees or penalty charges. Payments can be made online via net banking or credit/debit card, or offline at designated bank branches.

Late fees are calculated at 5% per month on outstanding balances after the due date. Refunds are processed only upon withdrawal from the program and following approval by the administrative authorities.

Students who withdraw from the program must submit a formal application along with reasons for withdrawal. Refund eligibility depends on the number of semesters completed and adherence to refund policies outlined in the university handbook.
