Mess Advance: An advance payment is required for meals throughout the semester. The mess billing system includes daily meal charges, with options for customization based on dietary preferences.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal amount contributes to welfare activities and student support initiatives within the university community.

Medical Fees: Covers basic medical services available on campus, including consultations, vaccinations, and emergency care.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports sports and recreational activities, including access to gymnasiums, courts, and club events.

    Hostel & Mess Charges

Plaksha University Mohali offers three types of hostel rooms: single occupancy (INR 150,000/year), double occupancy (INR 200,000/year), and triple occupancy (INR 250,000/year). Each room includes air conditioning, internet connectivity, study tables, wardrobes, and basic furniture.

The mess charges are determined by meal frequency and dietary choices. Students can select from standard, vegetarian, or non-vegetarian options, with monthly billing based on consumption patterns. Rebates are available for students who maintain good attendance and academic standing.

    Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial assistance is available through various schemes to support economically disadvantaged students:

    • SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 100% waiver on tuition fees.
    • EWS Category: Students in this category receive a 50% discount on tuition and hostel charges.
    • MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): A 75% reduction in fees for eligible students.

Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs, family size, and residential status. Applications must be submitted with supporting documents during the admission process or afterward if applicable.

    Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All payments must be made through online channels via net banking, credit/debit cards, or NEFT/RTGS. Late payments incur a penalty of INR 1000 per day beyond the due date.

If a student withdraws from the program before completing one semester, a refund of 80% of the total fees is processed after deducting administrative charges and hostel dues. For withdrawals after one semester, refunds are subject to internal review and approval.

The refund process typically takes 30 working days from the date of application submission, provided all formalities are completed correctly.
