    Admissions

    Admission Process Overview

The admission process for the Computer Science program at Assam Don Bosco University Guwahati is designed to identify academically strong candidates who demonstrate potential for success in a rigorous engineering environment. The process includes both direct admissions and merit-based selection through entrance examinations.

    Entrance Examinations

Admissions are primarily based on performance in national-level entrance exams such as JEE Advanced, JEE Main, or state-level exams like WBJEE. Candidates who qualify through these exams can apply directly for admission to our program.

For candidates who do not appear in these exams, the university conducts an internal qualifying examination that assesses basic aptitude and knowledge in mathematics, physics, and chemistry.

    Application Steps

The application process begins online through the university's official portal. Applicants must:

    • Create an account and fill out the application form with personal details
    • Upload required documents including academic certificates, passport-sized photographs, and signature
    • Select their preferred program and category (General, SC/ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwD)
    • Pay the application fee using net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI
    • Submit the form before the deadline announced on the website

    Selection Criteria

Selection is based on a combination of entrance exam scores and academic performance in 12th-grade examinations. For those appearing in JEE Main, the merit list is prepared based on normalized scores, while for others, a weighted average of 12th-grade marks and internal qualifying examination results is considered.

    Seat Allocation

Seats are allocated according to the merit rank obtained by candidates in the entrance examination or qualifying test. The allocation follows a category-wise system with reserved seats for SC/ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwD candidates as per government guidelines.

    Seat Acceptance

Candidates who secure admission must confirm their seat by paying the required fees within the specified timeframe. Failure to do so results in automatic forfeiture of the seat.
