    Admissions

    Admission Process Overview

The admission process for the B.Tech Artificial Intelligence program at School of Computer Science and IT is rigorous yet fair, ensuring that only the most promising candidates are selected. Applications can be submitted through JEE Advanced or JEE Main, depending on the category and preferences of applicants.

Applicants must first register online via the official website of the university. The registration form requires personal details, academic history, and preferred examination mode. Once registered, students receive a unique application number for tracking purposes.

The next step involves appearing for either JEE Advanced or JEE Main. For JEE Advanced, candidates must have qualified in JEE Main with a minimum percentile of 95%. The exam consists of two papers—Paper I (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Candidates are ranked based on their performance and merit list is prepared accordingly.

After the exam results are declared, candidates proceed to the counseling phase. During this stage, they must fill in choices of colleges and branches according to their rank and preferences. The seat allocation process follows a centralized system managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

    Strategic Preparation Advice

To succeed in the admission process, aspirants should begin preparing early with a structured study plan. Focus on mastering core subjects—Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics—with special attention to problem-solving speed and accuracy.

Practice solving previous years' question papers and take regular mock tests under timed conditions. Join coaching institutes or online platforms that offer specialized preparation for JEE Advanced and Main exams. Additionally, stay updated with current affairs and general knowledge topics as they are often tested in the aptitude section.

When filling choices during counseling, consider factors such as the availability of seats, proximity to home, and future career prospects associated with different branches. Prioritize institutions based on past trends and personal interest rather than just rankings.
